Our Mission

We Are F.I.S.H CIC exists to empower and uplift families of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through practical support, inclusive activities, and community-led change.

We believe that no family should feel isolated, judged, or left behind, and we work every day to provide the connection, confidence, and compassion they need to thrive.

What We Do

We deliver free or low-cost, inclusive community programmes that respond to real needs in North East Lincolnshire, including:

Support for SEND Families
Workshops, sensory sessions, advocacy, and peer support for parents and carers navigating a challenging system

Outdoor Wellbeing Projects
Nature-based adventures, walks, and environmental sessions to boost mental health and reduce social isolation

Confidence and Skills Building
Activities that help families, especially parents and carers, build self-esteem, develop skills, and feel more in control of their futures

Social Connection and Inclusion
Safe spaces to connect, volunteer, share experiences, and build a stronger, more inclusive community

Why It Matters

Many families of SEND children feel overlooked by mainstream services. We Are F.I.S.H CIC is led by people with lived experience who understand those struggles, and who are passionate about offering real help without judgement.

Our work reduces isolation, supports mental wellbeing, and ensures neurodivergent children, young people and their families feel seen, accepted, and empowered.

Our Vision

A community where every family, especially those affected by SEND, is respected, supported, and included, and where children of all abilities can grow up feeling safe, connected, and proud of who they are.
